LinkedIn

As the Executive Assistant/Office Manager, I keep workflow and schedules organized in order to maintain productivity.

In short, I’m the glue here at Provost Studio – aligning business operations, file management, and marketing efforts to ensure my teammates can focus on what they love to do without getting in the weeds on administrative tasks. I’ve never met a to-do list I couldn’t tackle and am able to shift gears quickly, jumping from spreadsheets to client communications and just about everything in between.

I’ve previously held positions as a Business Instructor and Education Specialist at a technical school and medical center in Maine, respectively, before moving to North Carolina to pursue roles as a Continuing Medical Education Consultant, Procurement Trainer, and Executive Assistant.

Questions

1
What’s your favorite word?

Gratitude. It is a word that always makes me stop and think about what I am grateful for. It makes me think about everything that is going on around me, allowing me to appreciate the simple things in life. It is a word that makes me realize everything will be alright in the end.

2
What’s your guilty pleasure?

Bargain shopping! Whenever I have a free moment or can sneak away from work or family, I like to go into stores and check out the clearance racks. It’s my hidden escape from reality when I make a beeline to the clearance rack at the back of the store, perusing all the red or orange tags with the reduced price on them. I enjoy buying items for people I know and get an even bigger thrill when I’m able to find it on sale. I get such an adrenaline rush from price shopping.

3
Describe your perfect Sunday.

My perfect Sunday starts with sleeping in until about 8 am. I get a giant cup of tea and proceed to sit back and watch the CBS News Sunday Morning show. Hearing the trumpet fanfare to announce the beginning of the show makes me feel like the new week is upon us. The show has always been more than a news show to me – it’s like a video encyclopedia! The featured stories cover topics for a lifelong learner to continue their journey of being well-informed as to what is going on in the world around us. The last few minutes of the show are my favorite, it features a 30-second segment on nature. This is a great meditative moment for me, watching the animals in their natural habitats. I stop my daily routine to take a moment to experience it and be present while enjoying the sounds of nature.
