Casa Herradura Retail Experience

Project: Casa Herradura Retail Storefront Experience
Client: Brown-Forman Corporation
Location: Tequila, Jalisco Mexico
Type: Retail + Hospitality
Size: 2,000sf
Status: Completed 2011 (Project completed through Construction Phase while a Sr.Design Director at Clickspring Design

Located on the main square in the town of Tequila Mexico, the project entailed a complete interior renovation of an existing space and created a new “glowing centerpiece” storefront to differentiate Herradura from their next door competitor, Jose Cuervo. A key design challenge was to create an environment which expressed the authenticity of Herradura’s rich local history and traditional tequila production techniques.

The project incorporates a Retail Area, Exhibit Gallery and Tasting Bar, where visitors get a first-hand sensory experience of tasting the different “expressions” of Herradura Tequila. Visitors are encouraged to continue to explore and learn at the nearby Casa Herradura distillery and plantation.

Vue17 Hospitality Suite

Location: St. Louis, MO
Type: Retail + Hospitality, Broadcast + Media

Vue17 is a 4400sf, state-of-the-art, broadcast-ready hospitality suite with panoramic views overlooking downtown St. Louis.  The space was designed with flexibility in mind and features a main stage area with integrated media and LED lighting, operable scrim room divider panels and movable bar element.  The project scope of work included interior design and broadcast design services as well as construction administration.  Vue17 was designed in conjunction with Peter Hyde Design.

(Excerpt from Vue17 Website)
"What we saw first was the view. Breathtaking in every season, Vue 17 shows off the beauty of St. Louis in panoramic fashion. We kept the space as open as possible so that when the sunset makes the city glow, you get to see all of it.
This technologically brilliant broadcast and event space takes corporate meetings, receptions, parties, and product launches to new heights. Vue 17 is the culmination of the thousands of events our team members have planned, chaired, and hosted over the years. When it came time to open our own event space, we were determined to create something gorgeous and state-of-the-art.
With that in mind, we equipped Vue 17 with the things we always needed and wanted at our own events: flat screens, theater lights, modern room dividers, a catering kitchen, a seamless and easy-to-control sound system, and the ability to scale up to more complex audiovisual needs. Plus, our media wall creates a subtle and sophisticated backdrop that’s as fetching as it is functional.
The end result: a versatile, stunning space with amenities that enrich every type of event."

Linda Farrow Pop-Up Brand Experience

Project: Linda Farrow Pop-Up Retail
Client: BOFFO Building Fashion Competition 2013
Location: New York, NY
Type: Retail + Hospitality
Size: 1,200sf
Status: Completed 2013

Linda Farrow continually pushes the experiential boundaries of eyewear design by creating transformative, individualized experiences for the wearer. The brand’s essence is about fun, surprise, and glamour, with each line of eyewear embodying a distinct personality and character. While the form and craft of the eyewear is paramount, what ultimately sets Linda Farrow apart is the brand’s ability to foster the innovative transformation of an individual.

This transformation is twofold: an internal, private, personal transformation and an external, public, visible transformation. These dual transformations allow for a playful tension between what is hidden and what is revealed, what the individual feels and what is publicly expressed or projected.

Our design translates the transformative, individualized nature of Linda Farrow eyewear into an interpretive series of transformational, sensory experiences that engages the visitor in an interactive way. To achieve this effect, several individualized “experience pods” occupy the shipping container space. Each of these themed pods contain one pair of Linda Farrow eyewear (housed in a light box display) and a corresponding sensory experience that targets the visual, tactile, and auditory senses.

A proposal for a temporary pop-up store for Wired Magazine.  The concept for the store proposes a lounge and media library where consumers can engage and “play” with products featured in the magazine in an informal, soft-sell environment.

The space is wrapped with environmental graphics which organize the experience into three main zones, similar to the organization of the magazine: START (Media Library), PLAY (Lounge) and SHOP (Online Shopping).
